Decorative Venetian Plaster "Marakanda" VD-AK-601
An innovative modeling paste in the premium line, created using high-tech polymers. This material allows you to achieve an exceptional level of gloss and form a deep, unique pattern through the artistic blending of various shades.
Purpose and Features "Marakanda" is a material designed for creating exquisite, thin-layer, and multi-layer artistic effects. Thanks to its unique formula, the surface can be easily brought to a perfect polished "mirror" state without building up excessive coating thickness.
Key Advantages:
- Maximum Possible Gloss: Easily polished to a mirror finish, either manually or with a polishing machine.
- Pattern Exclusivity: Creates a deep, one-of-a-kind pattern through the artistic blending of shades during application.
- Plasticity and Thin-Layer Application: Excellent plasticity allows for the formation of complex, elegant effects without weighing down the surface.
- Eco-Friendliness and Safety: Vapor-permeable, does not absorb odors, and is approved for use in residential, medical, educational, children's, and administrative facilities (for all building classes A, B, and C).
Performance Characteristics
- Wear-Resistant: Full polymerization within 28 days ensures high strength and durability of the coating.
- Eco-Friendly: Safe for health, water-based, with no sharp odor.
- Vapor-Permeable: A "breathable" coating that does not disrupt the healthy microclimate of the room.
- Odor-Resistant: Does not absorb odors.
- Moisture-Resistant: Suitable for rooms with high humidity (provided a final protective wax or varnish is applied).
Scope of Application
- Creating premium interiors with a mirror gloss effect (Venetian plaster, marmorino).
- Artistic blending of shades to obtain exclusive, custom-designed patterns.
- Finishing residential, medical, educational, children's, and administrative premises.
- Decorating accent walls, columns, portals, and architectural elements requiring high aesthetic expressiveness.
Substrate Requirements Applied to previously prepared mineral surfaces: — Concrete, brick, aerated concrete blocks; — Cement and gypsum plasters; — Drywall, fiber gypsum boards (GVL).
Preparation: — Remove loose particles and peeling layers of old coatings; — Level cracks and chips using high-quality putty compounds; — Sand with fine-grit sandpaper; — Thoroughly remove dust using a vacuum cleaner or a soft brush.
Preparation Quality: Category Q4 (a perfectly smooth surface is strictly necessary for accurate pattern transfer and achieving a mirror effect with thin-layer application).

Brief Application Technology
- Protect unpainted areas and thoroughly remove dust from the surface.
- Apply primer VD-AK-007; after it dries, apply the fine-grained quartz primer VD-AK-558.
- Thoroughly mix "Marakanda" using a mixer equipped with a paddle for viscous mixtures.
- 1st layer (background): Apply evenly with a medium layer, maintaining a "wet edge."
- 2nd layer (compaction): After the first layer is completely dry, apply and compact the material with a thin layer.
- 3rd layer (burnishing): Apply a thin layer and, without letting it dry completely, vigorously smooth the surface with chaotic movements of a stainless steel trowel or spatula until a shine appears. For a maximum "mirror" effect, use a polishing machine.
- After complete drying, apply the final protective composition (wax or varnish).
Coating Care After complete drying and application of the final protective layer, the following is allowed:
- Wet cleaning using neutral household detergents.
- Not recommended: The use of acid-based, alkaline, or abrasive compounds, as they may damage the glossy structure or cause clouding.
Composition, Storage, and Safety Measures
- Composition: Water-based dispersion of a styrene-acrylic copolymer, fractional crushed marble, thickener, defoamer, purified water, antibacterial, and functional additives.
- Storage Conditions: 12 months from the date of manufacture in tightly sealed original packaging at a temperature not below +5 °C. Protect from moisture, excessive heat, and direct sunlight.
- Occupational Safety: The material is fire- and explosion-proof and has no unpleasant odor. Use rubber gloves during application. If contact with eyes occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN!
- Disposal: Do not pour residues into sewers or open water bodies. Dispose of packaging as household waste.
